$72 million High School Stock Investor Hoax

This week New York magazine reported that a New York high school student made $72 million investing in the stock market.

For a 17 year old to make $72 million from a $1000 investment, many experts calculated he would have to have returns in excess of 500% for 7 straight years. That means he would have to double his money every one to two months for 7 years straight. Yahoo Finance analyzes these returns in the article below.
